Kötschach-Mauthen is the centre of the world’s first Slow Food Travel Region, which is devoted to the “craft of food”. Follow the motto “Take your time” and get actively involved when local foods are being produced, old knowledge is passed on and traditional craftsmanship can be learned. Take time for bread baking workshops and see how cheese, bacon, butter and honey are produced.
