Lake Wörthersee is one of the jewels amongst the Austrian bathing lakes, 20 km² in size and 17 km long – a paradise for water sports enthusiasts and sun worshippers, renowned for its party and lifestyle scene, a yoga hotspot and meeting place for bikers, hikers and runners. Reaching temperatures of 28 degrees, the Wörthersee is a playground for anyone who loves making a splash, whether on water skis, a wakeboard or an SUP board, in a sailboat or motorboat. In addition to the water sports in summer, all sorts of leisure facilities and ways to slow down have developed away from the water in the countryside surrounding the lake over the past few years. The Rosental Valley is a paradise for hikers, cyclists and nature lovers. The varied landscape in the heart of the Karawanken serves up memorable outdoor adventures, regional cuisine and fun for the whole family. 

Visitors experience unspoilt nature far away from mass tourism on leisurely hikes, more challenging mountain tours around the mountain climber village of Zell-Sele or in the Bodental Valley. Fantastic panoramic views, cross-border tours and inviting sun terraces await you on the Southern Alps Panorama Trail, which comprises 20 stages, 285 kilometres and a difference in altitude of 17,700 metres.
