300 km is a mystical distance for every road cyclist. There are only a few who have ever done it. The Alps-Adriatic region offers a unique route to reach this milestone. From the Hochtor at 2,500 metres the route leads across Carinthia, through the Soča Valley in Slovenia and Friuli mostly downhill all the way to Grado at the Adriatic Sea. The most important route markings are Heiligenblut - Winklern - Spittal an der Drau - Villach - Tarvisio - Passo Predil - Bovec - Kobarid - Cividale - Aquileia - Grado.
