Carinthia offers attractive terrain for road biking. The mild climate on the south side of the Alps makes extensive tours already possible from March, and the season usually lasts until November.

The sunny south provides countless beautiful tours for road biking. These lead along routes with little traffic through wonderful, natural landscapes, from the proud peaks of the Hohe Tauern National Park to the gentle hills of the Nockberge, as well as into the wide valleys with their warm lakes for swimming. Carinthia can offer road bikers routes of all difficulty levels on a wide range of terrains. It is just as possible to cycle for several hours alongside the beautiful lakes on relatively flat routes as it is to venture off on a tour on Austria’s highest mountain pass road, the Grossglockner High Alpine Road.

With the 6-day Tour de Kärnten or the Fuga300, the unique cycle experience from the Grossglockner through the Alps-Adriatic region to Grado, Carinthia can offer events to suit all ambitious enthusiasts.
