Welcome to lake.bike – your travel destination for mountain bike adventures in the south of the Alps!
Our MTB region offers the perfect combination of challenging mountain bike trails and tours, set against a breathtaking backdrop of mountains and lakes.

Whether you're looking for easy or more demanding trails and tours, lake.bike has something for everyone. Our officially approved MTB routes and trails are carefully planned and coordinated by a team of experienced mountain bikers. In addition, we offer 12 dedicated accommodations for guests traveling with bikes. Each one features a secure bike storage area and a workshop equipped with professional tools – our so-called lake.bike BASECAMPS.

It runs over rocky and rooty terrain and can be perfectly combined with the Kopein Trail and the Samonigg Trail. We also recommend stopping at the Ischnighof Buschenschank to enjoy regional specialties.

Ossiach Tauern Tour
A diverse mix of natural and machine-shaped trails for all ages. The Ossiach Tauern Tour follows a forest road from Ossiach through the Ossiach Tauern, rewarding riders with stunning views of the lake.

Right after the Flowgartner, the Lowgartner begins. Suitable for all ages, it winds through a forest section back to the road towards Altfinkenstein – an easy, flowy trail that stays fun no matter how often you ride it.

Samonigg Trail
A natural trail with breathtaking views – but definitely not for beginners. The trail starts right next to the Samonigg Farm and leads through a near-pristine landscape. For those aiming higher, the best access is via the “Hill Climber.”

The PROlitzen Trail
This demanding trail requires strong nerves and solid endurance. It’s suited to riders who aren’t afraid of steep sections or jumps. The pro-level track on Gerlitzen Alpe is definitely not for children or beginners.

Lake Ossiach – Lake Wörthersee
This sporty e-bike and trekking bike tour connects two of Carinthia’s most beautiful lakes – Lake Ossiach and Lake Wörthersee. From Ossiach, you follow a well-signposted cycling route to Velden, crossing the Ossiach Tauern at around 1,000 metres above sea level.
