The borders to Austria remain open, so you can enter and use your holiday home. The imposed measures, such as quarantine, will however also apply to you.
Please note: All travellers from risk areas must undergo a ten-day quarantine. After a period of five days the quarantine can be ended by a negative PCR-Testing or a negative Antigene-Testing (quick-test, results within 15 minutes). There are exceptions for commuters and business travellers.
You can find more information about risk areas HERE.
Update: For summer tourism, the EU-wide green passport is in the works and the provisions of the ECDC-map for risk areas will then be decisive for entry without quarantine:
- green/orange: free entry
- red: entry only for tested, vaccinated or recovered persons
- dark red: entry only for tested, vaccinated or recovered persons + quarantine (free testing after 5 days).
However, these regulations are still being drafted. Changes are likely possible.
