FOR FOREST is a temporary art intervention in Wörthersee Stadium, Klagenfurt, Austria, by Klaus Littmann and is inspired by The Unending Attraction of Nature (1970/71), a drawing by the Austrian artist Max Peintner. The international FOR FOREST project (8th September – 27th October 2019) will transform the Wörthersee Stadium into a work of art, open to the public for almost two months, day and night (10am – 10pm, free entry). Around 300 trees will be planted in an area mirroring the exact size of a standard football pitch. In the run-up to and throughout the project, various events will take place across Austria, themed around forest, ecology, art, nature and artificiality.
