Getting here by motorbike

You can get to your holiday destination quickly and easily using all the main routes. Carinthia is about a three-hour ride from Munich, Vienna, Zagreb and Venice.

There are various alternative routes through other parts of Austria with less traffic that are also recommended by the motoring clubs and safety authorities:

  • Karnische Dolomitenstraße (B 111) from Sillian to Kötschach-Mauthen (toll free)
  • Felbertauernstrasse (B 108) from Kitzbühel to Oberdrauburg (toll payable – Tour-4-Ticket)
  • Grossglockner High Alpine Road (B 107) from Zell am See to Heiligenblut (toll payable – Tour-4-Ticket)
  • Tauern motorail shuttle (B 167/B 105) from Böckstein to Mallnitz (motorcycles transported every hour) > Please note that the Tauern motorail will not be running for the duration of the construction work, from 18 November 2024 to 04 July 2025!

  • Packsattel (B 70) from Köflach to Wolfsberg (toll free)
  • Hebalm (L 136) from Deutschlandsberg to Wolfsberg (toll free)
  • Weinebene (L 148) from Deutschlandsberg to Wolfsberg (toll free)
